This pattern was designed using worsted weight held double. You can try a bulky or super bulky weight as well!

Worsted weight yarn (weight 4)  = 270 yds / 247 m (if adding a yarn pom pom you will need an additional 125 yds / 114 m)

Estimates are approximate and include an additional 5% buffer in the yardage calculations.

6.5mm (K) crochet hook

Scissors

Tapestry needle

Measuring tape

Jumbo 5” pom pom maker (optional)

GAUGE

11 DC x 6 rows = 4 x 4” / 10 x 10 cm laid flat.

CONSTRUCTION

This hat is worked from the top down, alternating rows of Puff stitches and HDC stitches. It is finished with a short ribbed brim for a snug edge.
